![]() I know that there are differences between the SFF-8087 to 4x sata cables (reverse or non reverse cables), but never seen any information regarding SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 cables being different. While I am still experimenting and figuring out what and how I will decide on my software stack (currently proxmox 3rd node cluster), what I can’t figure out wtf is up with norco front panel wires. So it can't be an issue with the raid card. So I started an anniversary build with the pesh2 board and norco 4224 case. I also tested the Raid controller with a normal SFF-8087 to 4x sata cable and the RAID controller sees the disks with no problem with this cable. I had considered getting myself a Norco RPC-4220 server cabinet (24 HDD. ![]() At the moment I have 10TB of data (movies, music, photos) and at the rate at which I download, I may end up with 20+ TB by the end of next year. I also tested several of the PCB boards on the case and the behavior is the same, and also with SATA and SAS drives. I am considering to get myself a server cabinet to store all my media files. ![]() I have 3 of these cables and all do the same. 699. If I connect the drive in to the case and use the cable mentioned it just won't detect the drive. I bought this SFF-8087 to SFF-8087 cable on ebay to connect the case backplanes to my DELL PERC H310 RAID controllers: Brand: Norco: Colour: Black: Item dimensions L x W x H: 81.3 x 27. We dont know when or if this item will be back in stock. ![]() The case I got has 6 PCB backplanes that connect 4 drives each (PCB has a date code of 02/2016). NORCO 4U Rack Mount 24 x Hot-Swappable SATA/SAS 6G Drive Bays Server Rack Mount RPC-4224. So I bought a NORCO RPC 4224 case and I'm having a real hard time to detect the disk drives in it. ![]()
